23 Oct Building Dreams: Len Pro Building’s Luxury Home in Mount View.
House Feature: October 2024
In the picturesque landscape of Mount View, Len Pro Building embarked on an exciting journey in early 2022 to create a bespoke luxury home that epitomised elegance and sophistication. As a high end construction company renowned for commitment to quality and innovation, Len Pro Building set a new standard for luxury living with this once in a lifetime project.
A Vision for Luxury
The client’s brief for this home was clear: to create a contemporary country residence that seamlessly connected to the surrounding landscape and functioned beautifully with their modern lifestyle. The design aimed to blend comfort, style, and functionality, creating a sanctuary that fostered relaxation while embracing the beauty of the outdoors.
Innovative Design Features
At the heart of the design was a striking soaring skillion roof, which not only added a modern flair but also allowed for uninterrupted views of the countryside. This architectural feature ensured that the living spaces were bathed in natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Incorporating passive solar principles, the design featured large windows on the northern side of the home, allowing ample winter sunlight and warmth to fill the living spaces. This thoughtful design element enhanced comfort while minimising energy costs, proving that luxury living could be both stylish and sustainable.
A central hallway ran the length of the home, featuring glazing at each end. This design choice drew the eye through the space, maintaining a visual connection to the stunning landscape outside. It was not just about living in a beautiful home; it was about experiencing the beauty of nature at every turn.
Overcoming Challenges
The journey to build this luxurious home wasn’t without its challenges. During the initial phase of construction, significant wet weather created access issues during the site cut and build. However, with a fresh start in the new year, the project quickly gained momentum. Once the initial earthworks and slab laying were completed, progress accelerated noticeably.
A critical part of the construction involved the installation of large sections of structural steel before commencing with the timber frame. Despite site conditions and access posing challenges, the accurate assembly of the structural steel simplified the construction process considerably. This design integrated seamlessly with the overall project, ensuring both strength and aesthetic appeal.
An expansion joint was introduced to the roof design, allowing for the roof sheets to be split into shorter lengths, which facilitated the process. While there were delays with window deliveries over the Christmas period, the team maintained a high level of attention to detail during the cladding installation.
Aesthetic Features and Personal Touches
The stonework on the external facade required meticulous attention to detail and became an eye-catching feature, beautifully tying in with the colour scheme created by the client and consultant.
The selection of internal fixtures involved considerable deliberation and research. The home’s monochrome colour palette, enriched with the warmth of timber accents, creates a harmonious balance that evokes both modern sophistication and cosy comfort.
The client opted for parquetry vinyl floors and custom furniture, ensuring a unique and personalised interior. Extensive research went into selecting feature lighting, and unique elements like the glass hatch in the floor and the fireplace design were all carefully incorporated to enhance the home’s character.
The use of large format tiles in the wet areas contributed to a spa-like feel, and the team ensured a high-level finish with ample storage solutions in the bedrooms.
The client paid particular attention to the electrical scenarios and home automation, aiming to maximise comfort and ease of operation. The consultation process focused on integrating an efficient electrical layout, ensuring correct and sufficient lighting throughout the home. Security features, including CCTV cameras were thoughtfully incorporated, contributing to the well-designed and high-end final product.
Outdoor Living
In Mount View, outdoor living is just as important as indoor luxury. Len Pro Building integrated seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, including an expansive deck that allows for al fresco dining and entertaining. A beautifully landscaped garden complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings, creating a tranquil escape for the homeowners.
Community and Lifestyle
Building a luxury home in Mount View was not just about the property itself; it was also about the lifestyle it offered. The wider Hunter Valley region is known for its vibrant community, local wineries, and stunning mountain views. The completed home provided the perfect base for a lifestyle filled with both adventure and relaxation.
The keys to this stunning home were proudly handed over to the clients in December 2023. It was a testament to what could be achieved when vision, craftsmanship, and sustainability came together. This project was not just about building a house; it was about creating a dream home where family and friends could gather, create memories, and live in harmony with nature. This luxury home is a stunning addition to Mount View and has set a benchmark for future custom builds in the region.
